Our Story

Latex 101 is the new source for latex clothes online. We're a new, small and perfectly formed latex designer based in a small town between Edinburgh and Glasgow.

We began making latex clothes ourselves in 2006 when we became curious as to whether it would be possible to make some of our own gear. As two big rubber lovers, we had just been down to London for the weekend and had spent a fortune in several of the big named stores.

When we began, we realised what great skill and care had gone into all of the things we'd bought and that it's not easy making good quality gear.

A few weeks later, we were hunting for bargains on ebay and noticed how much dreadful quality moulded rubberwear was for sale there.  Both of us had bought awful moulded bermuda shorts and underwear on ebay in previous years and some of the items were selling at prices not too far from what we'd bought our great new gear at. Now was the time to start to make a difference!

We're special lovers of all types of shorts, and we wondered whether it was possible to make a difference on ebay by selling good quality cut and glued shorts there to people making their first (and hopefully ongoing) rubber purchases. 

Over the next year, we developed a range of shorts and tops to match, not just in classic black (which has its place), but in brighter colours with designs where fit and comfort were a major consideration. As shorts aficionados we'd bought some great shorts from a number of stores. Whilst some fitted nicely and some looked cool, we hadn't found any that really clung to the body, stayed where you put them and didn't pinch in the wrong places!


The challenge was set and we rose to it. We got feedback, we improved, we got further feedback and improved once more.

And now here we are; two rubbery guys making comfy, cool-looking shorts and a wider range of rubber gear for you. We try to give a personal service and are always open to new ideas, so if there's something you can think of, drop us a line.
